In the context of the rapid development of information technology and digital transformation, cyberspace has become a familiar environment for students to study, work, and communicate. However, along with these great conveniences, there are many hidden risks such as cyber security threats, online fraud, personal data breaches, the spread of harmful information, and increasingly sophisticated, unforeseeable online kidnapping schemes.
Recognizing the important role of education on safety, cybersecurity, preventing online scams and online kidnapping, on 07/11/2025 Hai Phong College of Tourism coordinated with the People's Procuracy of Region 2 to conduct a campaign for all students aimed at in particular raising the awareness and responsibility of students regarding the protection of personal information, appropriate and respectful use of social media in compliance with the law, as well as equipping them with knowledge to recognize and prevent online fraud.

This is one of the important measures to implement the National Cybersecurity Strategy, the Digital Transformation Program in vocational education, as well as the policy “Building digital citizens – Students 4.0” of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Through that, the school affirms its role not only in vocational professional training but also in cultivating character, ethics, and civic competencies in the digital age.
Attending the outreach program were Mr. Nguyễn Văn Bạch – Deputy Director, Ms. Đào Thị Huệ – Deputy Director, along with fellow staff of the People's Procuracy of Region 2 who directly conducted the presentations. On the school's side were teachers representing the Board of Principals, together with lecturers and a large number of students from various faculties and departments.
